MAXIMUM LEGAL WEIGHT REQUIREMENTS: It is important to know the weight of the load on your truck. Each vehicle has a maximum gross (total) vehicle weight rating (GVWR). The combined weight of everything (truck and all) should not exceed the vehicle’s GVWR. In addition, drivers should know that the weight distribution should not exceed the front axle weight rating (FAWR) and rear axle weight ratings (RAWR). To determine the maximum GVWR, FAWR, and RAWR refer to the chassis manufacturers plate found on the driver’s side chassis door jamb. Unless otherwise noted, your omnivan® at the capacity for which it was designed, is at or under maximum allowable weight ratings. DO NOT EXCEED THIS DESIGNATED LOAD. It is a violation of state and federal laws when you exceed the vehicle's GVWR and axle ratings. In addition, it will lead to premature failure of some of the vehicle's systems such as brakes, transmission drive train, and suspension. The weight of the following items, added together, cannot exceed the posted GVWR of the vehicle: Maximum payload ACHIEVING A BALANCED LOAD: | |||
